Emancipation Day Festival 2013

Tortola / BVI – Every year in August the British Virgin Islands celebrate the Emancipation Day Festival with events and festivities throughout the islands.

We met up with some friends at “Le Grand Cafe” on Festival Monday for a pre-Parade “Shawarma” before watching the Grand Parade. The Grand Parade on Tortola is one of the highlights of the Virgin Islands Festival every year.

After a delicious Lunch and a few drinks (thanks for those “Jaeger-Shots”) we stepped out to the sidewalk of the restaurant to see the Grand Parade passing by on Waterfront Drive.
